Professional training courses for your team

  • Short Courses

Skills2Care provide a number of short courses to care businesses across Lancashire and the North West. We have a modern training room at our premises in Preston or we can come to your workplace to carry out your training. Five or more candidates are required for each course.

  • Qualification Credit Framework

The Qualification Credit Framework (QCF) is a framework that is replacing the existing National Vocational Qualification  (NVQ). It is a new way of recognising skills and qualifications, by awarding credit for qualifications and units (small steps of learning). It enables people to gain qualifications at their own pace along flexible routes.

  • Apprenticeships are on the job training schemes where the apprentice earns a salary and gains relevant skills by working with experienced colleagues to learn about all areas of their place of work.  Skills2Care provides training towards an accredited QCF and Technical Certificate at the apprentice’s workplace, so the time taken out from work is limited.

  • Skills2Care understands that employers and their staff need help to access funding for training. We offer support and guidance to employers in their area to access funding to train their staff. There is no single source of funding support for social care employers for workforce development, education, training or assessment.
